One of our favorite family traditions is our annual blue and white memorial day family picture. It started 21 years ago- I showed up to take CaMarie on a date for a hike up Logan canyon. When she opened the door I was shocked to see that we both had identical blue and white striped shirts- big surprise for both of us! We had a great hike up what we named "Voss trail", talked about some great Continue Reading
Mother’s Day extended…
My heart is so full as I write this! I would love to fill yours up too! It's SO HAPPY! There are MANY challenges to parenting, many exclusive to mothering, we are ALL familiar with that. And then there are many MORE rewards, many greater than we could even imagine!! (Sometimes we lose sight of that.) My kids have been stuck on a song from their last choir concert. It wasn't a favorite Continue Reading
Music Memories with my Mom
From my earliest memories I can remember with such warmth, happiness (and detail still!) my Mom playing the piano and my sister (2 years younger) and I RUNNING to the piano to sing with her. Mom was not an expert pianist, far from it she would admit, but it did not matter in the least, we LOVED to sing beside her as she picked out the tunes. Simple songs that taught lasting lessons in their Continue Reading
Singing for Others – Celebrating Service

Amazing how going to serve someone else always lifts your life the most. The children loved it! - even the babies! We've tried to remind the children often "it's more blessed to give than to receive". Celebrate Continue Reading
Being Mother! (Happy Mother’s Day Friends!)
I believe each woman has the meaning of mother written in her heart. It comes with her at birth, lasts through life, and if she answers well to that call is her glory as she passes on to eternity! I have seen this 'mother' nature come with my girls at birth. My twins Emily and Anna would care for at least 7 or more baby dolls in their play: dressing them, feeding them, loading them up in doll Continue Reading
Celebrate the Mess!
Well... at least be patient with it. Last night, well actually it was morning by then, at the 2 am feeding of Sarah, (Adelynn sleeps til 5 or 6 am most nights but Sarah still needs her 2 o'clock snack") I read a message from my friend Kim from New Hampshire. She said, "Just wanted to let you know I loved your video [Family of 12 in Twelve Minutes] and wanted to give you kudos for showing a Continue Reading
