It's been rainy and dreary and chilly here in PA -which was a great blessing to us yesterday as ALL of our children's events were cancelled!- and we snuggled indoors together to relish the wonderful opportunity of listening to general conference together without a worry in the world.(Well Isaac got to be there in person! And Emily and Anna are watching as they serve missions in OR and CA. And our Continue Reading
Happy Harvest Season Everyone!- it’s here!!!!!!
5 bushels full = estimated 400 ears = 52 quart size bags of frozen "corn-off-the-cob"!- as Addie refers to it. Oh, the yummiest! Thanks to one of Mike's awesome patients we are privy to the best corn in all the world (I cannot even imagine better). We eat it right up! Or freeze it up for winter! Wonder if 52 bags will last a half a year around here? I can always hope. Happy harvest season Continue Reading

We've been uplifted, strengthened, unified and refreshed by both Mike's family and mine as we've gathered together. This year both reunions were more relaxed and simple, reminding us that really it's just time together that we love so much! But I believe for Continue Reading

When we arrived at the airport there were already many friends there waiting supportively and joyfully with us for Isaac's return. My spirit wanted to jump out of my skin to run ahead, to hurry to meet him - somehow sooner than Continue Reading
Tips on Potty Training from a Mother of Ten
So.... I was terrified. Me? Mother of 10? Should be old-hat by now, yes? But here it was... time to potty-train. I had avoided it, ignored it, waited, watched, and wondered about it, but now it just HAD to be done. Sarah had started taking off her own diapers, they both told me when they went in their diaper now (didn't like it and wanted it off), and worst of all today of all days Addie Continue Reading
Goodbyes to our Sister Missionaries! (& perhaps the most pictures ever posted :)
Here's how it all started: (a journal entry on my phone as we drove to the airport to pick up Emily and Anna from finishing their freshman year at college) "We are driving down I-83 south moving toward the Baltimore airport where we will welcome Emily and Anna home with all enthusiasm!!! We have been anticipating their return for a couple months now, their return and springtime! Both have Continue Reading
