The weeks and days have whittled away into only a couple left of high school for my oldest son Isaac, who will be graduating. He and his three sisters, all in high school and choir together, were off for their last ‘small choir ensembles’ concert last night. Isaac, president of the choir, decided to live it up, and off he went in his new grey suit with blue pinstripe shirt and bright magenta bow tie—hat and all—to sing. He sang bass in a few men’s quartet numbers and absolutely matched the part! We just might HAVE to share “I’ve been working on the railroad” and Isaac’s drum-playing debut. hee hee! My brother caught the moment on the driveway before they headed to the concert. I’m so proud of my son, as I am sure each of you feel at different times and moments of life. I remember how proud I was of him when he bravely played piano in front of the whole school at age 5, or when he, with confidence, took the stand to give the student speech at 6th grade graduation. Last night I felt the same; so proud of this young man I’ve done the very best I could to raise to contribute confidently and beneficially to the world around him. He also adds a lot of fun to that world. 😉 I’m not just proud of Isaac, but of his friends as I have watched them and seen the good choices and great ways they’ve grown in confidence, wisdom, willingness to help and to share themselves with the world around them. What a poignant time for a mother. SO proud and excited for Isaac and friends and as they venture soon into the big, wide world around them!!!

Love the pictures! How fun! Once again, my thoughts are in the same place – I guess that kind of comes with the territory at the end of the schoolyear, huh? I was just at Ashley’s choir banquet last night, so proud of all she has done and become, and so grateful that I have one more year with her home, yet so excited for all that her future holds, and completely confident in her readiness to move forward. I know this next year is going to fly by, and I’m trying to soak up every moment. And yes – you should post part of the show! We’d love to see it!
Oh Brigette, SO Great to hear your thoughts and happenings during this treasure time of life!! Ditto!! I agree with all of it, including how beautiful I think your daughter is and how joyfully prepared for the future!! It is delightful to see! Thx so much for sharing!! Love, C&Crew
