Being the youngest of 10 children, Adelynn and Sarah are already very experienced when it comes to helping with laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, wiping and washing everything from cupboards to tubs to floors, taking out the garbage (my personal favorite to watch them do) and their latest favorite, yard work! 🙂
It is AMAZING to me that little ones that only a year and a half ago could only turn their head to Momma’s voice and toward food (had a bit of a hard time with that even when born at 34 weeks gestation) and cry when hungry or uncomfortable, are now at a year and a half old so ‘in the know’ about life, even doing laundry and sharing all their thoughts with words!
It is so easy as a parent to get greedy about wishing one could get more accomplished in a day! It is the greatest treasure of my life to be a wife and mother but so easy to look past the joy of it instead to the to-do list of it! The treasureable moments aren’t in the to-do list, they are in the moments along the way. I have always LOVED having my little ‘buddy’, whichever baby under 5 years old that is. I LOVE learning all about their unique, amazing, becoming self! I LOVE seeing the world anew through their eyes, introducing them to the amazing wonder called life!
So quickly children grow past that introductory phase of life, the immense closeness and bonding the beginning, most formative years lend themselves to, even require if YOU are the one THERE for your child! Every feeding, every washing, every diaper change, every book read, every song sung, and every little job done together around the house welds your hearts and beings together strong enough to last a lifetime. Every moment you spend on parenthood, on being with your child counts where it matters most—in the heart.
One thing I wish I could give to brand new parents is the perspective of appreciation, celebration, REALLY RELISHING and putting your all into taking the best care of your little ones possible WITH JOY! For every single minute, even the super-duper challenging hard ones, will be worth it!
Celebrate ‘Your Little Buddies’ today!!

This blog really touched my heart! CaMarie, you are one in a million. How blessed your children are to have a mother like you. May I quote parts of your blog in an upcoming article I will be writing for FamilyShare.com? Please email me your permission to do this, if it’s OK. What you say about being a mother needs to be heard/read by many others. It will inspire them, as it did me. Thanks for sharing your heart with us. Love you guys! Joy
Immense thanks for your encouragement for ‘sharing my heart’, Joy! It means the world to me if this can encourage or bless any other family at all! Please share! THANKYOU. Love, CaMarie and Crew
