Dearest Sisters,
Oh, how we miss you! You probably don’t understand how much we LOVED seeing every one of your beautiful, smiling faces as we skyped you tonight. Being here at college, we realize even more the incredible blessing of having each one of you in our lives. We need each one of you in our family and each one of you have touched and changed our lives more than you could know.
Being here at BYU we’ve been realizing even more the importance of learning and where education can take you. We want to share with you, in whatever tiny way we can, some of the things that we think are most important to know. Sure, knowing chemistry can be cool to understand more about the world (and the miracle it is!), history can make you a more educated citizen (and one who can stand for truth and right!), and math can stretch your brain to think in different ways, solve problems, and, like all the other subjects, give even more of a testimony that there is Someone who created all of this perfectly for us! But there’s more knowledge that matters way more than any of those, and although we are inadequate to describe fully the knowledge we want you to know, we’ll try our best because we feel it’s so important.
Tonight, after we saw and talked to each one of you, we have to start with this. We need you to know, more than ever, how beautiful you are. Mikela. Kate. Esther. Zoie Grace. Clara. Adelynn. Sarah. Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for you tonight. When we got off skype we just sat together in quiet for a minute, contemplating the gift of family. And looking at each of our sisters, we see the love of Christ in each of your eyes.
We saw little Zoie Grace snuggled on Katey’s shoulder, Esther and Clara laughing together surrounded by bubbles in the bath, Adelynn and Sarah smiling so big as they danced together, Mikela’s kindness and thoughtful heart in asking all about our week.
And that love makes you more beautiful than anything else.
Know that. Let it be engrained in your souls that the love we see in each of your spirits makes you so exquisitely, majestically, perfectly beautiful. And it’s a kind of beautiful that haircuts, new outfits, or different bodies can’t change. It’s the beautiful that you’ve heard of before… the kind of beautiful that comes from within.
Keep being absolutely beautiful in the ways that matter most.
Love you forever, love for always, forever and always, our beautiful sisters you’ll be!
Love,
Emily and Anna
Wow! That was amazing! Such a neat bond they all have!
Thank you Naomi, they are very blessed to have each other and I’m grateful they seem to have always recognized and cherished that! Family is one of our most tremendous blessings, no matter who we are.
Agreed! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
you are such a beautiful and lovely family and have been given all the teaching of great parents who love and cherish you….continue on living well and enjoying your youth and remembering that God loves you and will bless you always as you strive to do His will……
I can’t wait for the girls to read this from their dear, GREAT (in every way) Aunt! Thank you, what you say is true, they are soo blessed to have the teachings of the gospel from their grandparents. It has brought them all the joy and blessings they have! They’ve seen and felt love from them, us as their parents, and from their Heavenly Father every day of their lives!! Makes me think of Isaiah 54:13 “And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” I just want to rejoice every minute for the peace our family has received from the knowledge, covenants and blessings of the Lord!! in Much Love, CaMarie
Thank you so much for your comment! We really do feel so blessed to have the parents and family we have. I am reminded so often of the scripture, “For of him unto whom much is given, much is required”. I have been blessed so much and I do feel the need to be the girl that Heavenly Father wants me to be. I am grateful for my good parents who are helping me in that process. I hope all is well! Love, Anna and Emily
That was so sweet and wonderful to read. What a blessed family you are. Remember, we live right here in Provo, so if you’re ever in a bind and need a helping hand give us a call 801-***-****. We love you and your whole family! Gary and Joy Lundberg
I hope the girls get to reply Joy but I just have to say thank you so very, very much! They may have to just come for a visit when they get a chance! You are such a blessing and inspiration!! THANK YOU for everything, especially offering your sincere friendship and support to the girls right now!! Sincerely and with love, CaMarie
