GREAT LOVE has THIS DAD!

Yes, Dad was up ALL NIGHT LONG painting Katey’s room to surprise her on her birthday! (Special thanks to Mikela and Callie for spending their sleepover painting with him until 2 or 3 in the morning!  As you can see even Mo the puppy tried to hang in there but was wearily wondering what was going on!)  Dad came to bed by about 6 am for a little rest before jumping up to work all day long to finish painting a darling cabinet we had in the basement (better for the budget than the pottery barn bookshelf and desk I’d really like to give her- turned out great!) and even went the extra mile to paint her dresser drawers chevron to match the comforter she had chosen for her new teenage bedroom makeover!  The headboard we ordered to finish the look arrived just in time, but took extra time on Dad’s part to get installed correctly.  (So cozy!- lucky girl, Mike and I have still never had a headboard!- not essential I guess but yummy yes.)  All in all, the paint colors were perfect!  Mom had a lot of fun rearranging and redecorating  with a few fun items we gave Katey as bday gifts to go with the new airy ocean aura.  We had a ton of fun showing Kate the transformation that evening (-after a girl’s afternoon out with Mom, Sister, and a couple close friends for her birthday)!  She loved it!! And I hope she feels how much she is loved and adored! Dad’s own personal sacrifice demonstrates how much he would do anything to bless his beautiful daughter!
