I hope all of you have taken some enriching time out with your families this summer. Ours has been amazing! To top off the busy, great summer so far we took 3 days out last week to visit the significant, historic sights in beautiful upstate New York. Its always a joy to drive on scenic roads with red barns, grapevines, and gorgeous lakes as company. Something settles the heart here in these miles of wondrous road.
We enjoyed the Corning Glass museum. I will never get over the wonder of fiber optics!- carrying light?! How cool is that! And the awe of beautiful glass shaped in practical or romantic art forms for use or just enjoyment!
Then on to a family walk down Watkins Glen. We thrilled at its exquisiteness, from deeply cut gorges to rainbows through waterfalls our hearts were inspired and renewed!!

On to a Priceline hotel complete with pool and breakfast- thank you Priceline, for making it feasible to take a family on a road trip!!
And the next day we treasured our walk through sacred and holy places that changed our modern day world! (especially ours as a family!) My sister-in-law, Becky, and brother, Clark, took some pictures that catch some of the spirit of this place. My favorite part of that day? Getting one on one time with my little Gracie Girl in the Sacred Grove. To see the feelings of a child’s heart there is even greater than what one feels oneself. I can never forget my time in the Grove, each time I’ve gone the significance of it pierces my heart.

We rejoiced with others in the great events of history by attending The Pageant in Palmyra, NY that night. Wow!! What a great production!! And watching outside with such a joyful crowd heightens the experience!
Swimming at the hotel and and visiting friends and some family that met us there, Mike squeezing in a fishing trip with two daughters and a dear friend made the trip complete!!
I wish you all happy road trips and time together this summer!! Taking the time is worth it!!
Love, CaMarie and Crew
