Letter to Our Sisters: Dare to Be

October 22, 2014 by CaMarie Hoffman 1 Comment

Our Dearest Sisters,

We came across a beautiful poem this week that we want to share with you. Let it speak for itself:

“Dare to Be”

When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –
At all times, Dare to be!”

IMG_8504-102What a beautiful message about being someone! Always dare to be who you are-the sweet, beautiful, loving girls that you were born to be! Each of you has unique characteristics and talents that will allow you to change the world. Use those talents. Love who you are, and use who you are to make a difference. Every one of you has something to offer-that is a promise. What if every single person in the world wanted to become a doctor? Everyone would be well taken care of physically, but what about their emotional health? Without counselors or therapists, many would find themselves drowning in sorrow and sadness every day…but without teachers, how would those counselors and therapists and doctors even learn what they know? It goes on and on. Each of us has specific talents that we can use to better our world and give to others. Rejoice in those talents, rejoice in being you! ☺

We love you forever, we love you for always, forever and always our sisters you’ll be!

Love,
Anna and Emily
